When I visited the Golden Temple in Punjab, India I saw these koi fish in the pool. There is a quote associated with these fish from Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Shabad - "machhalee ve sone nain roonnee jaal baadak paiya". Translated it means that the fish, they found both gold and dry nets bad. We are like fish - born free and allowed to "swim" - live in a vast world and yet we cry or struggle because of the traps we set for ourselves.
